    Intuitive Eating: Initial Thoughts

    I’m a physique coach with a graduate degree in nutrition, 6 years of experience coaching nutrition clients, and 7 years of experience in nutrition research. Teaching people how to eat and train to reach their body composition goals is what I live and breathe. But it doesn’t mean I need to do it myself.     I deleted MyFitnessPal.

    After 7 years of tracking everything I eat, I have deleted MyFitnessPal. I am not an experienced runner. I honestly don’t know how much I need to eat to feel my best now that I have this new hobby where I continually push my endurance limits. All I know is that I still wake up at 3:30am hungry, and although that is unfortunately a normal occurrence during bodybuilding contest prep, it shouldn’t be happening when I’m trying to gain weight. If MyFitnessPal prevents me from eating enough just because 3000 calories sounds like too much, then it isn’t serving its purpose. I will always argue that tracking your intake is…
